Traditionally a fishing village, Turunç (pronounced Turunch) has slowly grown with the tourist industry, but yet still retains its peaceful character and relaxed atmosphere. Surrounded on three sides by mountains (and with the sea on the fourth!), Turunç remains a village, meaning that residents and guests are never significantly more than 15 minutes walk from the seashore, shops, bars, restaurants and harbour.
Turunç is a very safe village from our experience. We would have no worry letting our children go to the shops and explore the town by themselves.
